Founder Story
Chris Riley is a graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy, the former captain of a U.S. Navy warship, and an entrepreneur known for building innovative, disruptive businesses across multiple industries, with a focus on hard-to-tackle problems. He co-founded and led Guzman Energy, disrupting and reshaping U.S. power markets by bringing affordable renewable energy to rural communities. Following a personal family tragedy, Chris has brought his leadership to the healthcare sector, in order to fix the things he has found to be broken.
Blue Clay Health was founded by Chris Riley after his 13-year-old son suffered a massive stroke. That experience revealed critical gaps in care coordination for complex conditions. Blue Clay Health works to close those gaps by coordinating specialist teams and breaking down access barriers, empowering families to receive the highest-quality care.
